Parents and students are invited to cozy up with a good book while enjoying a morning cup of hot chocolate in the library.  The John B. Dey Library will be open from 7:10-7:30AM on all four Fridays in February (the 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th). If you are able to attend, make sure to park in the Great Neck Middle School parking lot and enter at the 1st grade entrance.  By parking at Great Neck you will allow the Dey teachers to arrive and park as usual.  This will also enable you to leave while the buses are arriving at school. We are asking that ONE adult (parent, aunt, grandparent, etc) accompany ONE child during that time.  If you have more than one child at John B. Dey, please pick another Friday to bring the next child or let another parent come with another child.  All you have to do is show up with a book to share and maybe a pillow or two.  Parents can take these items home at the end of the reading time.  Also, with the large amount of students, each child is allowed to visit ONE time during the month.  You will receive a cup of hot chocolate to enjoy while reading a book with your child.  You do not need to sign a form or send in a note to participate, just show up.
